Our hospital is thinking about purchasing a EPS unit, and we are looking at the Micropace EPS unit. Could someone outline how the Micropace unit compares to other units. We are specifically looking for a feature matrix, FDA & other quality standards certification, reliability and mtbf. Also, could you outline how the manual override feature works? Thankyou.

Hi Dr John and thanks for inquiry.
The Micropace Computerized Cardiac Stimulator, we believe is the premium product in the market - it has far more functionality than all other competitors while presenting a fast, very easy to understand graphical user interface. It was designed by an electrophysiologist to be operatable by nurses and doctors alike and gives helpful feedback in the form of ECG, detection of QRS, open circuit warning for instant diagnosis of loss of capture, full automaton - such as decrementation of S2 in ERP study in 50's then 20's then 10's, auto-stop of PVS on detecting tachycardia (VT) to name a few features. Stimulator has separate setups for up to 5 doctors and has two pages - A & B for instant changeover of complete protocol setups...to name a few features.

EPS320 is approved and marketed in the most country jurisdictions: USA, Europe, Australia, Japan, Canada.
EPS320 is purchased and distributed worldwide by the top two manufacturers of EP Recorder Equipment. Reliability is < 2% per annum failure. Software is non-windows custom - no crashes, can turn on/off at power point.
Micropace is ISO13485:2003 certified, and we comply with IEC62304:2006 Medical Devices software – Software life cycle processes and ISO14971:2007 Medical devices - Application of risk management to medical devices.
Currently we have over 600 stimulators located in laboratories in USA and 900 worldwide, and I believe every last customer happy with it - if not, we would make sure they end up happy.
Our newest product - StimLab bedside controller is worth looking at - on our website.

If you like, let me know your details and I will make sure a representative arranges a demo.
Best regards
Dr Michael Cejnar
